Plaid and Pearl

After being dismissed by his piano teacher at age 10 after performing his own musical version at the recital, Brett, founder of Plaid and Pearl, went on to teach himself how to play the piano and five other instruments. He became a one man band in his over-the-garage pro-tools studio. Brett went on to learn that being in a band was more rewarding then being "the" band. He did not have to look far to fill in the group. His younger sister, Brigetta (whose name comes from the Sound of Music), has a clear, upbeat voice that harmonizes in such a way it is obvious they are brother and sister. Starting college lead to new friends and new friends become the bass guitarist and drummer. Sam provides creative bass playing for the band and plenty of eye candy for the girls. On the drums, Danny drives the band with his feel for the music and his thunderous stage performance including his drumstick tricks and charismatic stage persona. Together, they deliver a lighthearted, fun soft rock/pop performance.
In Plaid and Pearl's first year, the band has performed live at Wingin' It, Ice Cream, and Strawberry Festivals (featured Hunter Hayes, Blake Shelton, Michael Ray) and numerous local events.
They have already released their first single Love Is War and their five song EP is in the last stages of production.
