Discography

Attached is a video of a gig we did in Killingworth, CT. At the time, we didn't have a real band name so we used our keyboard player’s stage name "Father Rock." This will give you a general idea of our material.

Bio

We are a group of experienced and seasoned musicians who have gotten together to create a unique sound. Our original pieces are varied and interesting. The instrumental arrangements really hi-lite our musicianship and tightness. Some of our material has been described as Pat Metheny like. Other material is a little more hard driving like Jeff Beck and a couple more Latin jazz like.

Norman “Father Rock” Titcomb plays various keyboards and sequencers. Norm’s a veteran of the music scene, having performed and produced recordings from Connecticut to Ft. Lauderdale, FL since the 60’s. He provides both foundation and great instrumentation. His creativity is at the core of our material.

Peter Hawes is a percussionist specializing in West African, Middle Eastern, Asian and other drumming styles from around the world. A former member of Framework Percussion Ensemble, he has played with cellist David Darling, pianist Michael Jones and percussionist John Marshall. Peter was also marketing director for the Paul Winter Consort/Living Music Records. He provides an exotic sound that helps set this band apart.

Rich Tortorigi is a long time rock / jazz drummer who’s played with many bands over the years including Charisma, Roulette Records with whom he performed at the legendary Fillmore East. He’s sat in with such performers as The Five Satins, Jimmy McGriff and Gary Burton to name a few. He’s a graduate of Berkley School of Music. Rich’s variety and skill takes us to another level.

Jim Tsokalas is an experienced guitarist and blues harmonica player. He studied classical piano where he developed a sound musical foundation. While minoring in music at UCONN, he switched his focus to guitar. Jim has taken lessons from area teachers including Billy Glass and Dan Glow. Having played in various blues and rock projects, his funky blues based style helps drive the message.
