We came up with the name Planetary Circus Kingdom back when we all worked on the same landscaping crew together (silly times). We all wrote down on separate pieces of paper, a random word of our own choice and then put them all together: Planetary (Louis) Circus (Erik) Kingdom (Wayne). Louis gave his choice away too early though because he didn't remember how to spell planetary.
The three of us have known each other well for many years. Wayne and Erik have been playing music together since they were 10 years old. Louis and Erik have been in projects together, off and on, since 2006. Wayne and Louis started jamming together early in 2010. Then Erik started jamming with Wayne and Louis and here we find ourselves today.
Wayne and Erik have been playing music together in various projects since the age of 10. Louis and Erik have been playing music together for a few years. Within the last several months we've been jamming out together and putting some material together. In the summer/fall seasons of 2010, we played two festivals in Maine, (our first two gigs), and began putting new material together. Since then we have played various shows, including Lasell College Radio, Firehouse 13 in Providence, RI, and at the All Asia Bar in Boston, MA.
Some of our influences include: Modest Mouse, Primus, Black Star, Parliament Funkadelic, Gorillaz, Cody Chesnutt, Jaco Pastorius, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, Frank Morgan, and Marco Rodi.
