"TNT - Dynamite"

Ok, so we had an awesome time at the Battle of the Bands / Taste of Irving last Saturday! We couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather! We were kickin’ in the shade at a 100-year-old First United Methodist Church under some 100-year-old trees! The whole stage set-up was really cool. Some really good local bands came out to battle that day. We started off with the FUMC’s Youth band that was really good. About midway through we had a band from east Texas called “Crown of Thorns” that brought in a steel guitar player. They were really good too.

1st prize was a 6 hour recording block and was awarded to “Planning Yesterday”. These guys have sort of a southern rock sound and a HUGE amount of energy! All the musicians in that band are extremely talented and really good at what they do as a whole. They couldn’t have rocked their set better! 2nd place went to a very young, female fronted band called “Riptide”. These youngsters were only 13-14 years old but don’t let their age fool ya! They won a $200 gift certificate to Murphy’s Music.

At the end of the day we were all really tired and ready to get going. However…when we jumped into the Powermobile to get going we discovered we had a dead battery! Awe yeah, we were looking good! It was a little embarrassing but we had to go ask a couple of the bands for help. Luckily they [Planning Yesterday] had jumper cables though and got us on our way. All in all, it was a really great day to hang out and watch a lot of really good bands play!!!

"Bob Your Heads"

It isn’t everyday that you are privileged to not only hear a great rock band, but also
blessed to hear an incredible love for God through music. Planning Yesterday embodies
both. With just plain rock, the band Planning Yesterday will make you bob your heads
like no bodies business, its true, but underneath its facade you will hear a message that
will change your life, your soul, and have you crying for more!! These guys are used of
God to promote a culturally current message that reaches all ages with the gospel of Jesus Christ. You won’t want to miss out on an opportunity to hear and see these guys give all
they have to God.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing in reference to the band, Planning Yesterday.
These guys are good! They have a passion for what they do. They bring much energy to the
stage. They are easy to work with and they have a tremendous heart for this ministry. They
always point their audience to Christ.
They will be a blessing and I highly recommend them.

"The Next Level"

It is my pleasure to write this note of recommendation for "Planning Yesterday.” We have had the privilege to have Planning Yesterday come and play at NewLife on two different occasions! Planning Yesterday has a great sound and they have a great stage presence. Each member of the band came across so genuine and real in their love for the audience and for each other. Our church had a fantastic time!
I have had the privilege of watching this band come together over the past couple of years. I feel that they will take whatever event you are considering using them for to the next level.

Feel free to contact me any time regarding Planning Yesterday.

Bio

In the summer of 2005, Corey Harmon and David Conner met at a Christian music festival, and immediately formed a strong bond fueled by their mutual love for music and Christ. Little did they know that 2 years and a few band members later, they would be in Arlington TX with a great sound, lots of songs, and no drummer or bass player. It was at this point God led them to Cody Renfro and Kyle Yates, and the Boys of Planning Yesterday played their first notes together. In January 2010, the boys welcomed Tich Medrano to the family. Ticho brings a new layer of excitement to the band with his unique guitar stylings. These guys are five equally talented, on fire disciples for Christ who share a passion for pushing limits and making music breakthroughs.
"Our vehicle for Christ's message just so happens to be music. We've blended a few styles together that have enabled us to reach people of all ages. With influences all the way from AC/DC & Led Zeppelin to modern day Christian rock sounds like Switchfoot & David Crowder - the music of Planning Yesterday has turned the ears of many generations towards the sound of Salvation."
