Plaster Babies

Plaster Babies is the creative birth, and songwriting partnership of Benoit Christie and Sean Cooke (robo-gars). In the summer of 2010, the two friends got together for a cottage weekend to contemplate sound ideas and a creative process. Taking their influences of music ranging from 70's glam and proto punk to the grunge and indie DIY genres of the 90s, the result was the writing of a 7 track EP, "Catapult Waste". With Michael Cooke (Vanzealands, robo-gars) joining on drums, the material was recorded between three cities, Toronto, Ottawa and Montréal and released February 2011. The band then found the skills of Robert James (Vanzealands) for a live/touring bassist, which has since given way to a permanent and to-date lineup focused in Ottawa and gigging consistently between Ottawa and Montreal.
