Platinum Status was the creation of Singer/Songwriter/Actress Ms. Satin Doll "Althea Battle" (former performer of "Bleach Blanket Babylon." Drummer Mr. Michael Mc Daniels (formerly of "Soul Street", and her right arm man Mr. "O. So Smooth Cooper" (formerly of Otis & Shugg). The Dynamic Duo "Althea & Otis" have have been sining together for over 15 years, and have been opening acts & recorded with several recording artist such as: Chico DeBarge, Digital Underground, Tony Toni Tone, E-40, Too Short, Blacalisious, Lunelle (the comidian), and Politician "Mayor of Oakland CA. Ron Dellums". Althea Battle has also recorded commercials and soundtracks such as: Oprah Winfery & Donuhue, 1992 Special Olympics (aired on Channel 3 Sacramento CA.), 1989 Golden State Warriors Playoff Theme Song "We came to play" featuring Lenny Williams of "Tower of Power" Otis Cooper has been featured on serveral sountracks such as "Bluehill Avenue" from the group "Otis & Shugg".
