The electrifying soulful sounds of Platinum Status will make your party go Platinum!! Platinum Status is the creation of veteran singer/song writer The powerhouse of Soul Ms. Althea Battle and her right arm man Mr. O Cooper. The dynamic duo has captivated many stages with their smooth harmony blends of: R&B, Top 40, Standards, Funk, Soul, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Rock N Roll, and so much more.
Playing as an understudy in Bleach Blanket Babylon; Althea Battle is no stranger to the stage. She has opened up for several Artists such as: Chico Debarge featuring Switch, Toni Tone Tony, Digital Underground, Lunelle the comedian, and many more. Althea has performed for Mayor of Oakland Ron Dellums Champaign 2006, Mr. O Cooper from the group Otis and Shugg has recorded with several Artists such as: E-40, Too Short, Tony Toni Tone. The dynamic duo together has performed for the Dr. Martin Luther King Festival with guest speaker Judge Hatchett, recorded the Warriors Golden State Basket Ball Team Theme Song We can to play with Lenny Williams of Tower of Power, and many more.
Other veteran players include: Tim Landis (1st Guitarist, currently with Cecil Williams Glide Memorial), Joel Kelly (2nd Guitarist), Jimmie McKinney (Keyboardist, currently with Lenny Williams), Vern Hall (Bassist, currently with Dewayne Wiggins), Thomas Thunderfoot (Drummer), Mack Taylor (Saxophonist, formally with The Coasters), Andre Webb (Trombone), and Mr. John Gibson on (Trumpet).
Platinum Status is supported by Roberts Music Sound (RMS) Sound Company with a professional sound system engineered by Kevin Roberts. RMS is fully equipped with state of the art sound equipment to benefit any size venue. RMS has DJ capabilities if required.
Stage Managers Shatae Deckard and Mason Turner; coordinates with your event planner to help keep the evening running smooth. They are the key to the Bands communications to ensure all needs are meet for your event.

Platinum Status performs regularly and you can see them live, or private viewing is available. Make an appointment to visit the rehearsal studio and privately screen the band.
