PlayGround Rivals brings the best of classic-style rock n roll to a contemporary forefront. Though not duplicating the greats of past decades, PGR draws from their influence in a cataclism of raw forceful energy but with the savvy of todays music listener in mind.

Biography

PlayGround Rivals plays soulful, hook driven rock with a gritty edge. As of late, they've been credited with pioneering the genre "Atlanta Rock"-a unique marriage of classic and modern rock. You be the judge!

Collectively, PGR members have shared the stage with Goo Goo Dolls, Styx, The Connells, The Counting Crows, Edwin McCain, Ben Harper, Sister Hazel, Lifehouse, and Third Day, among other names. While only together as PlayGround Rivals for 1 year, the band has a collective 40 years of performance experience on major stages across the United States and abroad.

Little Known Facts:
The band includes a classically trained pianist, a motorcycle mechanic, A tri-lingual world traveler, and a master guitar craftsman whose customers include country artists Keith Urban and Sugarland.

Discography

PGR is putting the finishing touches on their first EP with a tenative scheduled street date of early april 2009.
