On the Playground ( Press Biography )

Big, rich, fresh, sexy & instantly catchy tunes; a great mix of sweat, glitter, arrogance & alcohol; guitars that roar with pride; an extremely good live band with potential to boot... This is what the french press has had to say about their new sensation Playground

Playground is the result of coming-together of singer, songwriter and generally unpredictable young man Firouz Farman & guitarist Dino Trifunovic, a composer obsessed with the search for a perfect tune.

After 2 years over 80 gigs in mainly France , NYC ( CMJ) and London, they've built up a blazing repertoire of songs :drawing their sound from what they have acquired from their elders 30 years of rock that would go from the Stones Disco Rock to beatles like pop numbers via Led Zep heavy funk edges orJesus&Mary Chain like electric ballads.

Recorded with Daniel Presley (Breeders, Faith No More) & produced by controversial Dimitri Tikovoi (Trash Palace, Placebo), Their first album "What's your game" is Playground's blazing manifesto.

Featuring blistering standout tracks like the punky "Performer" & "Hippie song", the unstoppable disco-rock machines "Fate for fame" & "1994" and a handful of graceful ballads such as "Rollercoaster" & London Fiction", Playground's debut album sounds like a promise to the future.

"What's your game" follow up is under way.
