Bio

Formed in 2011, Pretty Little Kennedy Curse was originally conceived as a project to record a pop punk version of The Beach Boys iconic "Pet Sounds." This was of course absurd, and while it never came to fruition, guitarist and song writer Eric Navarro wanted to make a pop punk band a reality.

Navarro, son of Grammy-nominated smooth jazz-guitarist Ken Navarro, started with several songs and a mission to have fun with his friends while playing music. After recording demo tracks with vocalist and song writer, Dave Heilker, Navarro evolved the sound of his band into the clean-cut, self-described "prettyboycore" you hear today.

Through persistence, a tight lineup, and the work ethic of a touring band, Pretty Little Kennedy Curse has developed from a pet project into a full blown pop punk subculture powerhouse. Pretty Little Kennedy Curse (often called PLKC) has teamed up with countless local pop punk acts who share their same passion to revitalize a scene long thought dead in Baltimore, MD.

PLKC describes their sound as inspired by Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, Yellowcard, New Found Glory and Home Movies (the cartoon by Brendan Small). Their intent: to recapture some of the feelings that were so new and adolescent by listening to other angsty bands when they were in high school.

Pretty Little Kennedy Curse currently resides in Baltimore, MD, and plays shows in Maryland, DC, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. Their debut LP, "The Sound Of Time Running Out," is available on iTunes.
