Paral-lel

Since the band started in 2002, Praktisch and Slush have known how to ceaselessly hone their sound, between productions and lives. These two sidekicks, who have also been involved in BEE Records for ten years, draw their inspiration from various influences in order to create their own world of break-beat, techno and electro. The sensational duo is already author of 4 critically acclaimed EPs and an LP which got on most of the 2007 playlists. Now they are back at last with a stunning EP set to preceed a second LP in autumn 2010.

They have a talent which has earned them the opportunity to play in the greatest auditoriums of France: le Bataclan (Paris), le Splendid (Lille), la Laiterie (Strasbourg), l’Olympic (Nantes) and le Transbordeur (Lyon). Their success has also widely expanded abroad, notably in Croatia, Bosnia, Spain, England, Tunisia, Germany, Denmark and now in North America for the third time, since in 2010 they will be present during major programs such as the Canadian Music Week in Toronto and the SXSW in Austin.

MONKEY MONEY :
At a time of crisis, PARAL-LEL could not help drawing their inspiration from current affairs. The term Monkey Money is taken from traders’ vocabulary to name the beautiful green bill which has made the entire world green with envy and which is today relegated to the rank of common paper. And even music, transformed into gold at the end of last century, has become today Monkey Money.
"Monkey Money", the EP’s first title, commands its strong hymn and its all-consuming breaks, and offers a piece combining oldschool breakbeat, pure energy and frenzied acid.
An energy we come across again in the piece "Skudio" with a voluntarily more techno connotation accompanied by huge leads and a fiery 303 line.

A devastating EP which only catchesits breath for "Rabbit" boosted by a massive dubstep bass and catchy lyrics, a kind of dirty break just before leaping in the frenetic race of "Run".
A piece which takes time to impose its electro-bass rhythm, before letting the sound of guitars blare out. A new EP which, from the very first listen, announces a heavy sound on stage, because Paral-lel remains a band to be seen live on stage, the only place where music takes on its real value.
