"ASMW FA – PrimeMC"

Since no one can tell you about me like I can, this is my bio. I was born in Brooklyn, NY. I lived at 639 Sterling Place (off of Franklin Av.) until I was 8 years old (I actually lived somewhere else before Sterling Place but I can’t remember). I went to PS 135 Elementary School. I did the usual things a young kid could do in NY (play tag, stick ball, ride bikes, etc.) Even though I only lived there for the first 8 years of my life, I picked up that NY spirit that remains with me to this day.

Its evident in the way I talk, the way I rap and the way I wear my clothes. I went back a lot of summers and holidays so im pretty sure that played a part. While living in New York I developed a love for rap music at a very young age watching Video Music Box with Ralph McDaniels on channel 31. I remember seeing Ll Cool J – Im Bad and Run DMC- Walk This Way videos. Around that time, The Fatboys, LL Cool J and Run-DMC were my favorite rappers. That was the begining of my love with hip hop music. At the age of 8, I moved to Scotland Neck, NC [in a neighborhood named Mary's Chapel (The Chap)] to live with my grandmother. Now you got to understand, this is the complete opposite of living in NY. Grass, fields, trees, you get the picture. But I loved it there. A yard to play in, and it didn’t hurt that I already had friends there (the same friends that I have today) from when I used to visit during the summer. We grew up listening to music, playing sports, video games and riding bikes. As we got a little older and the yards began to get to small, we started to venture out around the neighborhood. Venturing around the neighborhood turned to venturing out of the neighborhood and that’s when I seen a different world. When I say a different world you could pretty much imagine what I am talkin about so there’s no need for me to go into details. Around this time I was listening to Jay-Z, Biggie, Tupac, Nas, and Mobb Deep. I graduated high school on time and attended Fayetteville State University before transfering to Elizabeth City State University a year and a half later. and thats when my whole life changed With out going in to detail, lets just say i picked up a degree that wasn’t supposed to be offered while attending college at ECSU.

Though I didn’t actually graduate from college, I did pick up a few good things while I was there. That is the place that I met my wife and that is the place that I sat in my dorm honed my rap skill. Writing rhymes in my spare time quickly became a habit and I just stuck with it. I actually started off battling dudes with verses on the internet. I recorded my first demo on a karaoke machine and I just took off from there. Fast forward a few years later and here I am. An independent artist / CEO of Tarhillz Entertainment. In 2007 I dropped “Primetime Live” Hosted by Dj Semi, “Spitacular: The Single” in 2008 and “Spitacular: The Album” in November 2009. With “Spitacular: The Mixtape” hosted by Dj Semi, on the way (Mid-January), another album due out in the spring of 2010 and appearances on the upcoming Riding Big Tour with Derty Den, things are looking brighter than ever! Stay tuned!

Bio

Wassup people? Nobody else can tell you about me like I can so this is my Bio. I was born in Brooklyn, NY. I lived at 639 Sterling Place (off of Franklin Av.) until I was 8 years old (I actually lived somewhere else before Sterling Place but I can't remember). I remember seeing Ll Cool J - Im Bad and Run DMC- Walk This Way videos. Around that time, The Fatboys, LL Cool J and Run-DMC were my favorite rappers. That was the begining of my love with hip hop music. Summer 1986, I moved to Scotland Neck, NC [in a neighborhood named Mary's Chapel (The Chap)] to live with my grandmother. Now you got to understand, this is the complete opposite of living in NY. Grass, fields, trees, you get the picture. But I loved it there. A yard to play in, and it didn't hurt that I already had friends there (the same friends that I have today) from when I used to visit during the summer. We grew up listening to music, playing sports, video games and riding bikes. As we got a little older and the yards began to get to small, we started to venture out around the neighborhood. Venturing around the neighborhood turned to venturing out of the neighborhood and that's when I seen a different world. When I say a different world you could pretty much imagine what I am talkin about so there's no need for me to go into details. I attended Southeast Halifax HS where I was the Starting Left Tackle my 11th and 12th grade year. Around this time I was listening to Jay-Z, Biggie, Tupac, Nas, and Mobb Deep. Alot of people look at me like im crazy when I say this now but I always said that back then Prodigy was in the Top 5 with the other ones that I named. Call me crazy but thats how I felt. Anyway, I graduated on time and attended Fayetteville State University before transfering to Elizabeth City State University a year and a half later. And that's when my whole lif changed. When I transfered to ESCU there were already a few people from my high school there so getting in where I fit in wasn't a problem. With out going in to detail, lets just say i picked up a degree that wasn't supposed to be offered while attending college at ECSU. Though I didn't actually graduate from college, I did pick up a few good things while I was there. Fast forward about 7 years later and here I am. An independent artist / CEO of Tarhillz Entertainment. In 2006 I dropped "Primetime Live" Hosted by Dj Semi "Spitacular: The Single" in 2007. My song "Hustle Hard" was featured on DJ Noodles' Fix Your Face Radio (Sirius 40) on March 25, 2008 and "Call The Law" feat. Hugg-E-Bear was added to Allhiphop.com's Media zone on July 14, 2009. "Spitacular: The Album" was released 4-20-10 on itunes and all other online retailers and was distributed locally (NC) as well. On August 25, 2010, another one of my songs ("Lose It" off of the upcoming "PrimeTime Live vol. 2" hosted by DJ Semi) was featured on Allhiphop.com (Media Zone). My goal is to get North Carolina first and then expand because you're only as strong as your foundation. If I follow the format I know I can take it to a higher level. So with that being said, stay tuned and watch your boy make history.
