Bio

Carrying his dreams in his heart and life on his back, Allen aka “Poc Dawone” Maldonado has all but scratched the surface in what is sure to be a promising career as a successful entertainer. Born May 20, 1983 in Compton, California, Poc Dawone was destined to achieve whatever he decided to set his mind to accomplish. After loosing his father at a very young age, Poc Dawone swore to himself and his mother that he would become the man of the house and take care of his family. Feeling like the world was on his shoulders, it wasn’t long before he found refuge in entertaining others through music and acting. Determined and driven, Poc Dawone worked diligently, sometimes without sleep, developing and refining his craft. After putting blood, sweat and many tears into what he loved to do most, all of his hard work has begun to pay off.

Poc Dawone has built at steady foundation for a long and legendary career as an artist in the entertainment industry.

The Hip Hop community embraces Poc Dawone with opens arms as he embodies every characteristic of becoming the next Mega Hip Hop Super Star.

The world's first glimpse of Poc Dawone potential as an artist was seen in the video for his first single “Moving Forward" which was selected and placed on the MTV network; also accompanied with a licensing deal for a small collection of music performed by Poc Dawone, With additional licensing deals to follow, you may have heard his music playing in your favorite Starbuck's, 24 Hour Fitness Centers, Foot actions, and many other department stores across the nation, This would cause a snow ball effect which lead to placements on TV shows such as NBCs “Friday Night Lights" and the highly successful franchise film “National Lampoon's: Dorm Daze 2,” this only scratches the surface of Poc Dawone's crossover appeal to touch various genres and diverse markets.

Being a talented rapper isn't the only talent he excels in, with various critically acclaimed roles on TV such as Jamal on “The Young and the Restless" and as MJ on the FOX's Network hit show “Standoff”. He has proven himself as a star on the small screen and is currently setting his sites on feature films with an appearance in the summer blockbuster hit “Live Free or Die Hard" and upcoming appearances in “Midnight Meat Train" based on the novel written by the legendary Clive Barker, and “Ball Don't Lie" starring Nick Cannon and Chris “Ludacris" Bridges; both are scheduled to hit theaters this summer. With along list of credits musically and theatrically, this is perhaps only a warning of the upcoming “POC Dawone Pandemonium" that will soon sweep U.S.A and The World!
