My poem/songs are Christian in nature, but could be applied to almost any faith. They are simple expressions of my heart and my faith. I started writing them down last year, but I didn't know what to do with them. I shared them with some folks at my church, and some of them...... retired English teachers even....... thought they were pretty good. I really think of these as songs of my heart........ but I can't hear the music. I am humbly submitting a few of them to see if anyone else can.

I don't know exactly what I would do with extra $$ if ever God blesses me with any. I am sure an earlier or better retirement would be possible. In my Sunday School class....... a great group of women...... I listened humbly to stories of things women have done for others. One story was of a local woman who had taken in children from foreign lands who had special medical needs. She cares for them and helps them through surgeries or other difficulties, then returns them to their home. She does these things at her own expense. I thought what a wonderful ministry and a blessing for these little ones. I am in awe of folks who do great good with their lives and their resources. I don't know what God has in mind for me, but I am certain I could do more for others and for Him. I am not a fully formed Christian as yet. Though I hold fast to the promises of eternity, I know there is much I could do with the life I have left.
