Inspired to write at the age of ten years old, POETiC is the son of a timbalero from the salsa group "Los Siete Potencias" and "El Gran Combo De Puerto Rico".
He cultivated his passion for poetry in a time where Hip Hop was dominated by lyricists and conscious emcees. Artists like KRS-One, Rakim, Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, The Roots, and Common have all directly influenced his style of writing.
A writer, producer, beat boxer, and emcee, POETiC deviates from his old school roots with non-linear beats that evoke emotion from his listeners.
His production style is influenced by composers such as Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman, as well as beat smiths such as DJ Premier, Pete Rock, 9th Wonder, and other greats.
POETiC performs with a crowd pleasing smile and charm that has captivated audiences at the Legendary Nuyorican Poets Cafe in Manhattan NY as well as the Bohemian Caverns, Bus Boys & Poets, Jaxx, and Jammin Java in the Washington DC Metro area (Just to name a few).
POETiC has also made collaborative music with Kool G Rap, SNRG, Kareem Ali, and Oshy on his most recent album; striving to develope his style and sound to reach a wide audience.
