“With styles ranging from Hip Hop, reggae and ska all the way to RATM inspired metal riffs, PJ showed themselves to be a truly diverse band who could hold their own playing alongside Kora, one of the most powerful and exciting bands around.” Jeremy Toulmin, The AU Review (Sydney).

Bio

Growing up and forming in the western suburbs of Adelaide, Poetikool Justice in the 4 years since their
first show have been rocking venues across Australia and just recently New Zealand..

Poetikool Justice produce a catchy fusion of Funk/Reggae/Hip Hop/Rock which is influenced musically by a
wide range of underground styles.

Their energetic live show and fresh sound is produced straight from the heart and soul essentially
beginning from improvised jam sessions, collaborated ideas and life itself.

Pj’s diverse sound has allowed them to play with a wide range of live acts including 2 National support
tours w/ Mammal and another w/ KORA (NZ),
Also a number of various support shows with some amazing acts such as Blue King Brown, TZU, Lowrider,
True Live, Nicky Bomba & Good Buddha.

Poetikool Justice also headlined the Hot Produce stage at the 2010 Adelaide Big Day Out with an
extremely successful performance.

Just recently Poetikool Justice won the Emily Burrows Award, awarded by APRA for an aspiring up and
coming act selected by industry peers.

With 2 releases an EP (the See.d) & an LP (Ground Level) Poetikool Justice are currently in the process of
recording more music and planning to release a live album by the end of 2010.

"The PJ's have amazingly managed to cram all their live energy into this record, and they've done so
in fine fashion. This band's signature eclectic vocal/Mc style is captured beautifully, accompanied by all
the reggae based funky rhythms, punchy guitar lines and solid drums that we've come to expect from
Poetikool Justice. 'Ground Level' has you uncontrollably tapping along in seconds!" 'Ground Level'
review Luke Balzan - RIP IT UP (Adelaide Street Mag)
