With influences like Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters and Guns 'n' Roses, Point of Honor is more like Jesus meets Hurt than the saccharinely, overly campy pop stuff you'd expect to hear from a Christian rock band.
The six-piece set out of Lynchburg, Virginia, merged when two bands, Seven Year Glitch and Forty Years, sort of disintegrated. "We'd been friends for a while and played a lot of shows together," said guitarist Brandon Hagar. As the group came together they realized they finally found the sound they were looking for. Though Hagar calls the band's music "alternative rock with a southern twist," Point of Honor is clearly something more.
