Bio
Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Poison Ivy has endured just about every trial and tribulation that the inner city has to offer. Police brutality and discrimination, domestic violence, high school drop outs, alcohol and drug influences, teen pregnancy and welfare are just a few. Her decision to become a rapper and get into the music business seriously started while attending Columbia College. It was there that she learned the business side of the industry. While collaborating and networking with other artists, producers, managers, promoters and etc., she learned the disloyalty, manipulative, gender and racially bias, deceptive, arrogance and many other negative attributes of people in the industry. These experiences influenced her to the do it yourself approach. Which resulted in the unleashing of the producing desire she possessed. Ultimately, developing her into the determined and dominant artist/producer she is today.
