Polar Sleep

Polar Sleep is the kind of band that brings an immediate smile to your face.  Whether youre listening to their music or watching them perform, you just cant help but feel your inner kid bust out with excitement. With catchy melodies and memorable lyrics, Polar Sleep will have you singing their songs for days to come.

Polar Sleep is the current musical incarnation of frontman Jared Palick (Guitar/Vocals), and his wife Brittney (Piano/Vocals).  They moved to Portland, Oregon to open a commercial recording studio that has now become the home to multiple Grammy award winning engineers.  Jared says, I moved to Portland with the intent of keeping music my passion, and it turned into much more than that!  In Portland Jared met up with long-time friends and musicians Mike Horey (Bass), and Tony Reed (drums). They decided to put the recording studio to good use, and record their first full length album entitled Spark. 

The soundscapes of Polar Sleep are dreamy and ethereal, while maintaining a very grounded current feel.  They tie together the sound of bands like Coldplay, Death Cab for Cutie, The Killers, and Imagine Dragons, and can be categorized as Alternative, Pop, and Indie Electro.  Jared brings emotion and catchy hooks to Brittneys classically trained piano riffs that create a melody worth humming to.  Soft Synths and Eno-esque delayed guitars join forces with driving drum and bass to create a unique flavor that appeals to music lovers of all varieties.

Were passionate about making music that has a positive influence, says Brittney. We want people to feel the same joy that we feel when we write it. The band is now spreading that musical ecstasy with their new album, which is getting excellent reviews and creating a great deal of buzz.  Their single The Answer is quickly becoming a favorite, and The Spark has been considered for use in NBCs coverage of the Olympics. 

Polar Sleep is now working to arrange national and international tours, so they can continue to gain momentum and win the hearts of those who hear their tunes.  What it really boils down to, remarks Jared, is that were all passionate about what we do.  And well never stop trying to make people smile.
