Polar Vibez

           Polar Vibez is a mutifacated artist and musician from the Washington, DC area. His sound resides somewhere in the indie/alternative rock universe with strong influences from the hip-hop and psychedelic soul foundation from which he was spawned. He splits his musical talents between the more amorphous Polar Vibez sound and Texcha, a quasi purist underground hip-hop project. Buoyed by his beloved practice of the visual arts, restless curiousity and a vague altruistic vision to be a revelatory voice in the world, the work of Polar Vibez is an everchanging entity.           

            At times solo and as a member of DMV underground hip-hop supergroup , Tribe of Asaru, Polar Vibez has performed at the annual indie upstart Brooklyn Wildlife Festival three times, thrice at the much buzzed about DC arts festival, Art-O-Matic and countless times in shows at various venues along DC's famed U ST Corridor, a hotbed for the underground DC arts scene.
           

           His discography thus far spans 8 solo albums, and four EP's as a member of 22
inal underground hip-hop outfits Subterranea and Tribe of Asaru. With a keen ear to the streets, a murky esoteric afrofuturist aesthetic dipped in day-glo neon and a knack for strong hooks, the work of Polar Vibez will inevitably be regarded more widely as a force to be reckoned with on this plane and beyond....
