"We Live Your Life - Love Sound Magazine review"

"Australia's newest band that matters, Polaroid Fame, has just released their debut album We Live Your Life.....The only thing separating them from The Strokes or (fellow-Australians) Jet, or any other throwback band thats alive and well today is, perhaps some time!" - Love Sound Magazine

"Polaroid Fame Splendour preview"

"Polaroid Fame is an eight-legged rocking-delight local species that spends large amounts of time in old pubs up and down the east coast. It thrives on a diet of rock, with equal doses of indie, and recently trekked to Melbourne to lay some track for a pending LP."

Alison Mooney - Splendour In The Grass 2009 Festival Program

"Polaroid Fame Honest Arts artist feature"

In our opinion, they're the only amazing 80's throwback band in the business, even to those of us who didn't necessarily care for the 80's! - The Honest Arts Alliance

"We Live Your Life - Babysue album review"

The folks in Australia's Polaroid Fame compose synth pop tunes that are heavily reminiscent of bands from the 1980s (some of the songs on this album bear a strong resemblance to Duran Duran). We Live Your Life features tunes that are unashamedly accessible and commercial. These folks record tracks that are instantly familiar, upbeat, and danceable. The vocals are way up front in the mix, and each song has at least one super catchy segment. With the right push, the members of Polaroid Fame could easily become very, very big. - Babysue

Transcending the ubiquitous surf, sun and sand images and references that typify the Byron Bay music scene are the exciting group Polaroid Fame. A four piece from this beachside utopia, Polaroid Fame manage to combine the Byron vibe and its earthy charms and channel it through layers of guitars awash with melodic bass and 80's reminiscent synths.

They have been providing locals with this uniquely crafted sound to develop a strong following both here and around the country. Thanks to their constant touring of the east coast, as well as their electrifying set at 2009's Splendour In The Grass festival they are fast becoming one of the areas most accomplished live acts. Their Splendour performance was the perfect pre-cursor to the band's eagerly anticipated debut album release. Aptly titled We Live Your Life, it's an affirmation that reinforces the fact that this group is just like you and I, sharing the same challenges, joys and human experiences.

Utilising the world-class facilities at Studio 301, the group not only recorded their long player in Byron Bay, but also enlisted the production talents of locally based ARIA nominated producer/engineer Anthony Lycenko. This approach of working close to home allowed the group the precious time needed to work up the arrangements and overall direction that the production would take- ultimately resulting in an album that is brimming with great vocal hooks, catchy bass-lines and danceable grooves textured by spacious twin guitar interplay.

This stunningly produced debut album We Live Your Life is making waves in US college radio, charting in several Top 30 Charts since late 2009. Currently their tracks are lighting up commercial and community radio switchboards around Australia with requests. Their music will strike a chord with fans of Bowie, U2 and The Police as these are clear and valued influences on their distinctive, creative and exciting sound.
