Bio

The Polaroid Truth has been hailed as "a unity of opposites that is sure to warm your evening and enrich your soul" (East Village Coffee Lounge). Coming from very different backgrounds, Jeff Fettig and Jeni Magana aim to do just that - combine their unique experiences to deliver an entertaining but honest message. Their music has been compared to Damien Rice and Brett Dennen, but they are quickly carving out their own niche in the acoustic genre.

Jeff and Jeni both started music at a young age, but in very different ways. Jeni started on classical piano, moving to clarinet and classical bass. Her contemporary music school opened her eyes to new genres, and she spent her college career doing freelance work with her bass, including playing with The Dropkick Murphys on tour and making an appearance on their latest album, The Meanest of Times. Jeff spent his youth listening to the rock bands of the 90s, and played electric guitar in the San Francisco music scene alongside other then-local groups such as The Matches and Plain White T's. Music school changed his priorities as well, and he fell in love with his acoustic guitar and the sound of folk music.

The duo recently spent a month on tour in California promoting their debut release, ”Last Day as Children”. They also made a special live appearance on the CosMix 92.1 FM, where they were said to be "better than Damien (Rice)" in an interview. Their track Mind Over Heart is now making regular playlists on the online radio stations; Sentient Radio and String-Theory, as well as National Public Radio WJCT 89.9 FM based in Jacksonville, FL.
