Police Squad started life as a 3 piece (Al-guitar/vox, Kieron-drums, Dan-guitar/vox/keys) but have since grown with the addition of Phil-bass & Steve-guitar/vox from fellow Liverpool band, Moguls. Their sound could be described as 'Pop/Rock/Indie/Alternative', if you prefer labels.
They take influence from the likes of Phoenix, Modest Mouse and Sparklehorse as well as The Strokes and Hall & Oates to name but a few.
For all the obvious influences, the band retain their own unique sound but, they don't fall into the trap of just exploiting one particular style. They say "each song writes itself" and this comes across in their music. Each song has its' own identity. Audiences constantly tell the band that their favourite track changes all the time, depending on their mood when they listen.
They're debut EP, 'Gestalt', will be released in spring 2012.
