Biography

Politickin P, birth name Phillip Davis, was born September 22, 1986 and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. A lover of music, he began recording Hip Hop music in high school releasing a number of well received mix tapes. Gaining a deeper passion for his craft, he continued to create music while attending Delaware State University where he graduated with a B.A. in Political Science in May of 2008. During this time, he was afforded the opportunity to open up for acts such as Trey Songz, T-Pain, Young Jeezy, and Plies.

While pursuing his JD/MPA at the University of Baltimore, where he graduated in 2011, Politickin P independently released two digital albums. “Compass Life: I-95 Music” and “The Ballot: Kill The Plutocracy”, released and available via iTunes, have shared moderate success. In September 2011, he opened up for Kendrick Lamar in Washington, D.C. and a few months later in November, Politickin P participated in the Southeastern Talent Expo at Kennesaw State University. This event included A&R’s from major record labels including Universal, BMI, Interscope, & Atlantic.

Politickin P has music in his veins. His lyrics depict the
ideological issues facing society, but speak to his community and adolescents about establishing themselves as the obvious leaders of the future generation. The versatility & authenticity are what he prides himself on. Politickin P currently resides in Atlanta, GA and recently released a new album titled “Crate Court Music: The Vanburen Years” which is available on iTunes.
