Pollo Beamz born Courtlyn Scott September 5,1993, Grew up in North Tulsa, Oklahoma
around his father so much he was exposed to and absorbed alot of the artist he listened to E-40,B-Legit,Tupac, R.Kelly, Charlie Wilson, Joe and many others. "It stuck with me".At 11 he felt he wasnt good enough to play basketball so turned to something else, Seeing young artist being so successful and ended the doubts of being in that category.I honestly had no mentor or true musical influence until i was 13 or 14 years old. Hardly nervous and more excited to get on stage and loved it. I knew from then this is what i wanna do i started studying. ArtistS such as Ludacris,Cassidy,Lil Wayne and i loved how the used metephores and similes in their lyrics and i would spit based off that.When i turned 15 i started attending Tulsa Central High School for fine and performing arts and it was perfect.I performed in another talent show with Onyx (Chucky Baby) Pike and once again success, we had the crowd singing along and all i could think is man im only 15. His sophmore year he was asked by a booking company named Afton to perform at one of their shows with Onyx(Chucky) Pike and Robert(L.A. Cruise) Fellows as the youngest act so it was a shock the reaction was so strong. Over time focusing more on becoming a well rounded artists melodies and harmonies combined with rapping. Influences such as Drake, Starlito, Big Sean, Tory Lanez, and PartyNextDoor shaped the artist Pollo(From Greek mythological God Apollo) Beamz into the sound of the kick back and the late night chill but never forgetting to show off lyrical ability as an MC.
Since the change of his name Pollo became a major part in group Blaxcdanna Mafia formed by Foolie and since then has performed a number of events locally and has completed his first tour including Dallas,Fort Worth and surrounding areas with acts Savya Worldwide, Trae Zoe, Hakeem Eli'Juwan and also Norman Music Festival with The Sativa Prophets and World Culture Music Festival 2016 on to SXSW festival in 2017 at Oscar's Backyard.
