"Pollock, a single word..."

Pollock; a single word that brings to mind one of the most brilliant artists of our time. If these Western New Yorkers took the namesake for a reason they were right on the mark. Taking a dark progressive look at music the influences of these guys can be traced to bands such as A Perfect Circle or a more apologetic Nine Inch Nails. While this is in the sound, they never fail to remember the roots where this music came from. Dreamy transitions in a few of their songs add a very Cure-esque feel to it. While it is almost cliché to site the Cure as an influence, these guys have been able to add a lot of originality to the mix. The arrangements are well thought out, and make all the songs dive and build while the listener has no clue what to expect next. It all comes together in a way so that it is simultaneously dark, uplifting, heavy and like a dream.
