"PolyJane Review"

PolyJane (aka Kristi) is in love with music, and it loves her right back. Watching her perform I swear I could see her aura; it is filled with myriad dancing music notes and bursting with energy, color and rhythm. Her hands seem to operate with their own mind separate from that which controls her smooth and stunningly personal vocals. From the tips of her bare feet to the prints on her fingertips she is the embodiment of her own musical personality. Real passion manifested in music always amazes me, to see such passion up close in a coffee shop was truly inspiring... she made me want to learn to play piano. Performing is a very physical thing for her, you can see her interact with the music swirling about her and become empathetic to the emotion fueling her uniquely melodic musical engine. Next time you're sitting around wondering how you're going to spend you're evening, get online and find out where PolyJane is performing, you won't soon forget the experience. You can thank me later. - Geno - Colorado Music Post

Bio

From the moment that you first see PolyJane attack a piano right through to the last word that her angelic voice articulates, it is evident that she holds her audience in a trance. PJ’s classical background and teaching experience aid in her quest for the perfect melody, while her cartoonishly cute personality keeps her from becoming too serious.

This last year has seen an upsurge of progress on the PolyJane project. The recording of her debut release “Planting Season,” is the product of hundreds of hours spent composing, hundreds more spent arranging, and still hundreds more spent rehearsing. The result is a body of songs that are emotionally poignant, beautifully enchanting, colorful, and memorably graceful.

PolyJane’s performance has received its’ share of thoughtful and loving attention this year as well. Having performed at Swallow Hill, Herman’s Hideaway, The Toad Tavern, The Walnut Room, Leelas’ Café, as well as numerous coffee houses around the state, she has perfected a song set full of captivating dialogue, visual and harmonic intrigue, and the fascinating choreography of her hands and body as she surrenders herself completely to the art she is sharing.

Everyone deserves an occasional moment of clarity and abandon. Those indulgent moments are the essence of “Planting Season.” Enjoy!
