"...best new band..."

"PolySky is the best new band I've seen this year in Austin, I hope they don't move away..." - Troy Campbell

"..."

"wow" - UCLA radio

"sweet after taste"

" PolySky is incredibly original, with an intense rush of Unique sound, followed by a sweet after taste, PolySky is sure to be a hit among the young and the old! " - BIRN Radio

"A breath of fresh air"

"While many are proclaiming the demise of something called alt-country; and many others are wondering just what "indie" really is... PolySky is a breath of fresh air that helps define the genre. That is, the synthesis of rock, folk, classical and jazz (and whatever else your ears detect) clarifies the genre at the same time the superb music and songwriting of this band transcends it. Keep your eyes and ears on PolySky. - Gram Parsons Project

PolySky was born in Boston, MA and is the brain child of Clayton Lillard and Lauren Bruno. After writing and performing together at Berklee College of Music for two years they decided it would be best to raise their child in the Live Music Capitol of the World, Austin, TX.

LAUREN ZOE, vocalist, was born, she started singing, she’s been singing ever since. PolySky is her heart and soul.

At the age of 12, JORDAN, received his first BASS as a Christmas present. After learning some of his favorite Rage Against the Machine songs, Jordan and his friends from middle school started their first band – The Fist and Tote Project. From that point forward, Jordan knew music would be a part of his life forever. Through many epic quests ranging from playing in many bands, a deviation from bass playing to jam out on lead guitar, to his 3 year hiatus from playing music, he ended up finding PolySky. This has been his home since early 2010. Jordan’s influences range from bass players such as Abe Laboriel and Victor Wooten to epic metal bands like Nightwish and Sonata Arctica, from Radiohead to Outkast. Jordan is currently 23 and located in Austin, TX.

MARK has been playing classical CELLO since the age of five. He attended the University of Florida for cello performance in 1998 and went on to receive a master’s degree in music from Florida State University in 2005. After graduation, Mark decided he wanted to play cello in a rock band, so he joined the progressive rock group Seeking Sui. Mark spent several years touring around Florida playing with regional orchestras and with Seeking Sui, then moved to Austin to seek new pastures. He began work in production, and has now produced music for artists such as Omar Lopez, Lawrence Trailer, and Everdrift. In 2009, Mark joined PolySky and has been happily playing cello and singing harmonies ever since. His influences include Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, The Beatles, Imogen Heap, and J.S. Bach. Mark is currently also aspiring to be an Austin hamburger and fine beer connoisseur.

When ANNA was 4, she played Happy Birthday on her Playschool xylophone for her mom. Her mom enrolled Anna in PIANO lessons, and she hasn't stopped playing since. Anna's influences range along the aural bell curve from Debussy to Dubstep, with the explosive synth-ivory mash up of Muse somewhere in the middle. She also loves mashed potatoes, corgis and crappy beer.

Born and raised in San Antonio, TX until the age of 18, CLAY got his start with music at age 5 playing the piano. Eventually picking up the saxophone and playing until the age of 14, he has been playing guitar and drums ever since.  After leaving the Berklee College of Music in 2008, he moved to Austin, TX to continue his musical and humanitarian career.   Aside from music Clay has a passionate love for avocados.  To his friends and fans, Clay says, “Austin will be home to me and my music for the next couple of years. So if you need me, you know where to find me.”

ROB was born and raised in Biloxi, MS. Rob began his percussion career playing snare DRUMS with his junior high school and is mostly self taught. Throughout his career he has played in a number of bands including Driven by Suffering and Blood Bayou. Rob decided to relocate to Austin in 2007 and he joined up with the members of PolySky mid 2010. Rob also has his own band locally called Death on Mopac. Rob’s influences include John Densmore (The Doors), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theatre), Sammy Siegler (Glassjaw), Tomas Haake (Meshuggah),or any drummer who plays what is not expected in a song.  In his spare time Rob loves playing with his dog Emma.

Beginning her musical career with piano at the age of 4, ERIN developed a love of singing when she was in elementary school. She began intensely studying classical VOCAL music at 15 and attended Florida State University to study music in 1999. Continuing her study in 2003, she entered the Music History program at Florida State to study Irish traditional music and Irish vocal music. Erin moved to Austin in 2008 to pursue her career outside of music and ended up coming onstage and singing with PolySky at a gig one night and she has been singing with them ever since. Her influences include Imogen Heap, Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor and Massive Attack with a little Mars Volta thrown in for fun. Erin is a vegetarian and has a passionate love of all living things, including her two amazing dogs Gretchen and Zoe.
