July 5, 2005 (Washington, DC) – Poncho Villa, a rap producer extraordinaire, has released his brand new album “Road to Redemption“. The album contains 17 tracks of harcore hip-hop. Poncho Villa not only produces compilation albums featuring Washington DC up and coming artists, he is a talented rapper and songwriter as well.
Poncho Villa is 26 years old, born and raised in Washington DC. He studied engineering at OMEGA Engineering School in Rockville, Maryland, and utilized his talents by producing and songwriting for local artist. Poncho Villa studied Business Management at Howard University in Washington DC to enhance his knowledge and understanding of business practices as it applies to the music industry. His passion for music was influenced by such greats as Dr. Dre, 2-Pac, Notorious BIG, Jay Z, and other entrepreneurs such as P-Diddy, and Andre Harrell.
“I produce, arrange, and write songs that can be classified as alternative, rock, hip-hop as well as jingles for commercial use and movie sound tracks,” Poncho explains. “As a music producer my best trait is finding the best singers and rappers who are most often gifted and unique but aren’t able to get the exposure nor the business mentorship that they need on their own.”
Poncho Villa may be recognized from his appearance on the television show "The Scene," or through the distribution of compilation albums he produced, such as STATE OF EMERGENCY featuring the hottest artists generating a buzz in the underground hip-hop community in various cities across the US.
Poncho Villa strives to promote the unrecognized talent of the Washington DC metro area performers. He has been successful at creating a buzz around the US regarding the extreme talents of Washington DC artists, who have yet to be recognized for their gifts. While he continues to distribute various compilation albums independently, such as the brand new “The Road To Redemption”, his ultimate goal is to be supported by a major distributor that can assist in taking the artists of the Nations Capital to the homes of the millions who desire to hear, but have not yet heard.

Poncho Villa not only produces compilation albums featuring Washington, DC up and coming artists, he is a talented rapper and songwriter, as well. Many may recognize him from his numerous appearances on shows like The Scene and Love TV. His greatest exposure has been through the self distribution of compilation albums that he has produced, such as STATE OF EMERGENCY, featuring the hottest artists generating a buzz in the underground hip-hop community, in various cities, across the US.

Through his company he works with artists that are unable to properly produce, their own work and those that struggle to gain recognition from the music industry. Through his leadership, guidance, marketing and production talents, he assembles compilation albums bi-monthly and distributes them to the media, local underground, record labels, record stores, and markets via the Internet worldwide.
