Pond Water Experiment

Pond Water Experiment rose from the ashes of the successful southwest Florida band Pond, an Americana world fusion band, known for it's high energy improvisational eploratives. In 2007 when two of the band's members decided to move on Miko and Nathan found, in James Taylor, the missing link that would lead them to new realms of funk driven exploration. The trio went immediately into writing mode which lead to their first cd release "Homemade Shananigans" about four months later. Each member of the band is a song writer, each with their own musical background and structural ideas, which leads to Pond Water Experiment's somewhat eclectic and varietal sound. After the cd release a period of heavy gigging ensued with fans quickly buzzing about the slightly new direction of the band and with that, the thought of touring and bringing their music to new and vast audiences crept into their psyche. Those ideas lead them from Ft. Myers, Florida to Asheville, North Carolina where the trio has made their home for almost a year. Being the gentlemen that they are, the Appalachians have made a huge impact on their musical ideas and have lead them toward (or back to) roots music with amazing blends of bluegrass and reggae, middle eastern and african rhythms, americana and folk rock all with an ear toward the funk. They are currently working on their next release which should be available early 2009.
