The last band I seen that night was Pongoo. This is one very original band that is for sure! The best way I can describe them is a clash between Northwest royale & Rob Zombie. To be honest, during the first and about midway through the second song I didn't care to much for them, but then they started to grow on me. By the time we left I was totally into them. If you go see them, which I recommend you do, be sure to give them a few songs before judgement...I think the the fact that they are so unique is what makes it that way. It's a combination of music that you probably have not heard and in this day and age that is something that can very rarely truthfully be said! I also wanted to mention how involved with the crowd they were and man they really got them moving! They were handing out Pongoo underwear (briefs) which is another cool and unique idea. Oh by the way, I did get a pair...and I wear them proudly! Go see this band!

Pongoo was born from four friends tired of the same old metal. They wanted to put together a new sound with a hard edge. Drawing from such influences as Slayer, Faith no More, Janes addiction, Clutch and White Zombie, Pongoo have put together a sound that is unique and soley their own.
With help from such friends as "Long island" Cliff and Nick the fisherman Pongoo have put together a live show that is as fun to watch as it is to hear. Heavy, unique and fun Pongoo never fails to deliver the goods and will always have you coming back for more.
