Bio

Formed in Central Washington in July of 2008 out of a dead local music scene and all-too ready noise complaints, Shawn Sanders (Bass) and Brian Bailey (guitar/vox) joined to create a unique blend of Rock and Roll subgenres, dubbing it "Poor Folks, Live Well." It was an effort that caught attention and now, after teaming up with Mat Allen (drums), Poor Folks, Live Well has established a sound and live performance that consistently leaves audiences wanting more.

Drawing from bands like Biffy Clyro and Brand New as main influences, and embracing perfectionism, Poor Folks, Live Well has been able to build up a strong, dedicated fanbase all around Washington who will swear by the live performance. The music grabs and holds audience attention with deceptively thoughtful lyrics and the variety of soaring melodies along with gripping tension. All of this is well displayed on 2010's LP "Our Sore Nerves" and 2012's EP "40 Years Of Famine".

Since forming, Poor Folks has had great responses all over Washington and they’ve shared the stage with some great bands including Listener, Wussy, Ravenna Woods, Vendetta Red, Warrant, The Lonely Forest, Empire Of Sleep, Ghost Power!!!, Red Means Go, Small Town Nation, Striking Back, Capture The Flag, and A Hope Not Forgotten.
