Bio

It’s is not what you think it is. This is not another re-riffed and re-worded acoustic Mraz/Mayer/Matthews rip-off band. It's far simpler than that. It's not another lyrically shallow, feel-good "contemporary Christian band" either. It's far more real than that. Poor Rich Folk is no more than a window into the lives of the four musicians who form it. It's a window into their relationships with the people around them, their relationships with one another, and their relationship with God.
The band is made up of songwriter Luke Brawner (rhythm guitar and lead vocals), Randy Fuller (lead and rhythm guitar, mandolin, vocals), Jon Vanderveer (bass and backing vocals) and Andy Brannon (drums, percussion, and backing vocals). Based out of Fort Worth, Texas, Poor Rich Folk seeks to challenge those who hear their music with the Gospel as it is revealed to them through their personal life experiences. Their message is meant for the ears of those who are "found" as much as (and sometimes more than) it is for those who are "lost". Their simple music and honest, conversational lyrics appeals to any audience at all kinds of venues, from coffeehouses and clubs to churches and music festivals. In May of 2005, the band’s first full length studio album was released – very appropriately entitled, Poor Rich Folk, “No More Than a Window.”
