Popeezy

Popese “Popeezy” Falaniko was born September 20th 1987 in Anaheim California. With a father born & raised in Western Samoa and a mother born & raised in California he grew up with many different music influences both island and r&b. He fell in love with rap music at a young age and ever since he wrote his first rap in 7th grade he knew where his life was headed. At age 13 he moved to Salt Lake City where his uncle taught him how to perfect his rhymes. Popeezy generated a name for himself around the local party scene while still in high school. In 2006 after dropping out his senior year he began to chase his dream. After a couple years Hustling he came to a realization that he didn’t want to pay someone for beats or even studio time, so he enrolled into audio engineering college in the bay area. After college he quickly returned back to Salt Lake City and joined forces with his high school rapping partner “Damez” and the two formed the “Flight Crew” in 2010.
