POPP-DA-RIPPA whose real name is Lamont Nanton has been in the music business since 1993 he started out as young MC winning every battle that came his way from the street corner, to the radio, to the stage. For over a decade he has been one of the hottest FL Mc's to touch a mic. His delivery is fierce, his lyrics are uncanny, his stage performance is explosive and his energy is unmatched! Born and raised in Miami FL Popp grew up in a very negative environment filled with violence and debauchery. It wasn’t long before he adopted this lifestyle at a very young age. Being well versed in the art of rhyming he used his skills to verbally express his destructive lifestyle through his favorite genre of music RAP. After many years of living the gangster life and experiencing several emotional hardships to the point of near suicide, Popp realized through the help of his father and the local church that there was more to life than self destructive activities and that God had a bigger plan for him. Popp finally came to the end of himself, surrendered his will and his heart to living a positive life therefore becoming a new creation. Popp’s music immediately changed and he became a rapper who now uses his skill to uplift encourage and re-new the negative mindsets of society. Popp-Da-Rippa is on a mission to expose the enemy who blinds us and open up the eyes of those who are still trapped by the deceptions of this world.
