Port Largo

Port Largo was founded in 2004, when Morten Dyrberg and Caspar Hesselager met singer Jesper Lidang almost by coincidence. He joined them in their search for a unique sound. They started writing songs together and two demos were recorded over the following year. However, after having worked for a while as a five-piece band, the three of them experienced an urge to work even more intensely with creating music, trying to define (in near solitude) what their unique voice would sound like. For more than a year, the three confined themselves to working together on an almost daily basis in a small appartment, kept company only by computers and keyboards, electric drums, guitars and bassguitars. The hard work and dedication, and the ambition to set even higher standards for themselves paid of. The new material was stronger than anything they had ever been capable of producing before, and they went back to rehearsing with the others, eager to present them and audiences with the songs. Most recently, Port Largo have teamed up with highly acclaimed danish producer Carsten Heller (Nephew, Spleen United, a.o.) and together they are in the process of recording the first EP release from Port Largo, coming out towards the end of may, just in time for their appearance at Denmark's prestigious SPOT-Festival..
