Soundtrack of Our Lives - Single

Portrait for Failure, is exactly that. "The name comes from consistently feeling like the poster-child for failure", quotes frontman, Matt Lennander. While the name itself is a little bit of a downer, the purpose is to bring hope and inspiration to those who need it, all across the world. While we are all failures in one way or another, there is forgiveness and redemption to be had. The single, "Soundtrack of Our Lives" is a catchy rock anthem meant to carry the message that we as a rising generation will not give up, we will not back down, and we will fight the good fight in order to bring truth and justice to an uncompromising world.

After leaving his previous band as the lead guitarist, Matt still felt called to pursue music, anything else would just be mediocre. With little song-writing experience, and only having been a backup singer, uncertainty certainly settled in and made itself comfortable. Doubts are a normal emotion for any new venture, but dedication and perseverance don't give way that easy. With the commitment made, the knowledge and experience of the music industry, and the heartfelt and passionate sincerity for music as a whole, Matt decided that if he wanted to do this right, he had to do it himself.

"So far the road has been a little bumpy, and definitely risky to travel on", says Matt, "not knowing what's ahead is both nerve-racking and exciting." Portrait for Failure is off to a great start, and is ready for any obstacle they might come across. Their motto, "I would rather try and fail miserably, than wonder for the rest of my life what could have been" certainly holds true for most people, and this group of talented young musicians is no exception. Keep your eyes and ears open for the three song EP said to be released fall 2008.
