Bio
Portrait of Another formed in the fall of 2003 in Charlottesville, VA. With a variety of influences from the Police to U2 to Jars of Clay, Portrait has combined the spirit of a singer/songwriter with the strength of a rock band. Their live performances feed off the band's versatility and energy while maintaining lyrical depth and integrity.
Portrait released its first full length album (Self-titled) in the spring of 2005 under the direction of Matt Goldman (Copeland, Cartel, Anberlin) and Justin Rosolino. The album reflects the eclectic yet coherent songwriting and sound of Portrait, with an occasional nod to their many influences.
Portrait of Another have shared the stage with acts such as Donovan Frankenreiter, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Virginia Coalition, Dave Barnes, Shane & Shane, and Bethany Dillon. They have earned headlining spots at Virginia's top clubs including the NorVa in 2007.
