"Sing-song refrain for the song "Safe""

This is a nice song. It's got different parts that naturally flow one from the other, the lyrics are relevant, and it's got a sing-along refrain to make it accessible for the listener. The recurring guitar riff really glues the song together, giving it continuity and character. The bridge is a good break, and it fits in well with the rest of the song. The vocals are fairly distinctive and the singer's voice is very full and rich, but I'd like to hear him stretch out just a bit more, explore the limits of his voice, get a little edgy. He definitely gives the band an identity for the listener and he should develop his signature sound. The arrangement is very effective in giving the song character. The musicianship is adequate and rather low-key. The production is well-balanced, but perhaps the overall sound could be a bit "bigger" to enhance the song more. All in all, this is a commercial-sounding, well-written and performed song. Keep up the great work! Feel free to comment on this review using the Community Feedback feature on my profile page. Thanks for letting me listen to your music. - Real Rocker Girl

Bio

The Oxymoronic name: Positive Chaos has a few levels of meaning. For the guys in the band it's symbolic of everything they have accomplished as a band and as friends. On a larger level, Positive Chaos is life, It is the realization that change is always present in life, and with changes brings chaos, but this chaos even at it's worst will eventually bring the good back into one's life. Here's the story of how these wannabe philosophers got started.

In late 2004, Brett Bernier and Dave Valletta began playing coffee houses and open mics together, just for fun. In July of 2005, they hooked up with long-time friend and bassist Chris DelGobbo. Positive Chaos was formed. In July 2006, Positive Chaos started writing and recorded their first album, "Sure Fire Way". The band was then forced to split up for a bit due to college. Realizing that technology was on their side, the band decided to stick together. Here is what they've been up to since.

January of 2007 - the band added Guitarist and Ohio Native Tyler Turner to the family.

April of 2007 - the guys we're asked to represent the United States of America at Florida Institute of Technology's International Festival.

July of 2007 - Positive Chaos' first single "Sore" was featured on a compilation album of premier local music, put out by the Webster Theater in Hartford, CT.

Spring of 2008 - Positive Chaos was featured on WCCC-fm in Hartford.

Summer of 2008 - The band added Drummer Patrick Harrigan to the mix. This enabled then drummer/vocalist, Dave, to come out from behind the set and interact with the crowd.

In the summer of 2008, The guys completed the song "The Waltz", Which was a sort of tribute to Dave's mother, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001.

December 2009 - The band got picked up by local record label "Sling Slang records".

May 2010 - Positive Chaos began writing their first concept album.

November of 2011 - The band releases their first full-length album titled "Lab Coat Arbiter". The album received great reviews and has sold very well.

Over the course of the last few years the band has had the privalage of opening for some of the best bands in the rock, including Tantric, Finger Eleven, Smile Empty Soul, The Exies, and Sevendust.

Based on the fact that our music is the culmination of modern sound with an old-school style makes us stand out from other bands.

We draw an influence from a large selection of rock, including Breaking Benjamin, Coheed and Cambria, Chevelle, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Trapt.
