Bio

Posterra began playing together in the waning months of 2010. Crammed into the living room of a double wide, they developed a sound of their own. Once a set list was prepared the band began playing local shows and in less than six months shared the stage with Less Than Jake, The Supervillains, The Rival Sons, Tigerweather, and Alias Punch without recording a single song. After winning a Battle of the Bands in May the band cashed in their prize; three hours at a local recording studio resulting in a two song live demo. Despite being unmastered the demo has been featured on Indie Shuffle and received international radio airplay.

In July 2011 Posterra began work on a six song EP. Trading studio time for landscaping work, the boys of Posterra recorded with one of Florida’s finest mixers and engineers, Brian Robertson. The six songs were self-produced and sent off to be mastered by Michael Fuller of Fullersound inc (Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, Eagles, etc.). Their debut self-titled EP was released in January 2012.

After releasing the EP in January 2012 the band continued playing shows and gaining a following. During April 2013 the band announced their lead singer, Tyler Crane, would be moving and thus leaving Posterra. Never wavering, Posterra’s bass player, Jack Norsworthy, took over lead vocals. Continuing forward as a trio with guitarist Josh Smullin and drummer Chris Rayner. Posterra stepped into the studio once again to record their sophomore record, “The Wolfbranch EP.” The self-produced, four-track EP was recorded at John Blanche Recording Studio in Longwood, FL and was released August 6, 2013.
