"POTATOEBABIES - My Cat Is Dead, My Mom Has Passed, And My Dad Is Still Alive?"

The latest musical demon-spawn from PBR Studios contains not only a hysterical handful of songs, but also my favorite album cover so far. Cuts such as "You Don't Know Dick" and the catchy "Westside Shuffle" tell me frontman Rev. Charles Preston Smith is really in touch with his inner west side. The heartfelt harmonies of "Flowers On Her Grave" would put any beauty shop quartet to shame. "Suck A Toad" brings it home with a vengeance that only this crew could muster. I can't say for sure where the Reverend gets his inspiration, but let's just say you should be careful what you leave on his answering machine.

Bio

Tragically, the name PotatoeBabies is in memory of 'Mom' ...the late Gladys Beavers. Legend has it, that as a child I would roll around in the dirt while a loving mother tended to her garden. Hence the name...
