Formed in 2003 in Evergreen,CO this pirate band decided that putting on a SHOW was a lost art, Music is about entertaining folks and having them walk away fulfilled. They fuse World music to bring together the audience in a high energy full throttle show.
Men & Women in Kilts, Steampunk & Pirate garb, light shows, high energy fiddle/drum dueling, Crowd interaction, Storytelling, History and lots of dancing is what you can expect at a POTCHEEN show.
The Capn, the lead singer and drummer/percussionist will make you tired just watching him. had survived a dozen broken bones and head trauma after the first tour bus "GRACE" was t-boned by a semi in Missouri in 2010, Bucking the Medical professionals that told him he wouldnt play for another year and a half, the capn self healed himself and jumped back on stage 4 MONTHS later to support the headliner at the 2010 Desert Rocks Music Festival in Moab..
To date they have played in over 3 dozen states from Florida to Alaska, 6 albums 2 Tour buses and over 2000 shows. One of the hardest working bands on the Planet.
