What does B.B. King, Buddy Guy, The Temptations and Spyro Gyro Have in common?? The members of Powerhouse have either played with or opened for these musical icons!! Blues /Soul /Rock & Roll keeping the party going!!! Whether Powerhouse is playing The beautiful Newport Lofts Penthouse Sun Terrace, corporate events for TICA at the Haufbrauhause, writing and performing the title song for the movie Deal Me In, or headlining The Las Vegas Humane Society Blues Festival the band has lived up to it's name. It is truly a POWERHOUSE of sound!!
Jimmy Sanchez * Guitar & Vocals
Founder and musical director of Powerhouse Jimmy has played with many Las Vegas bands over the last 25 years and has played in most of the casino Strip lounges . Before settling in Las Vegas Jimmy toured playing the hotel circuit across the U.S. and Mexico.
Burpo Wilson * Bass & Vocals
Burpo is a groove specialist whose middle name is funk. Burpo has opened for or performed with a wide variety of outstanding musicians such as Stevie Wonder, Buddy Guy, and the Gap Band.
Willie Fisher * Drums & Vocals
Willie has performed as an opening act for B.B. King, Herbie Hancock, Tower of Power, Confunction and Bobby Blue Bland. Willie has played with Edwin Starr, Tootie Heath of the Heath Brothers and recorded a comedy album for Bill Cosby.
Mark Randall * Keyboards & Vocals
Mark toured the midwest for 20 years with his jazz band Gyro Tyme playing nightclubs and concert venues. he has opened for such jazz greats as Spyro Gyro, Herbie Hancock and Weather Report. Since arriving in Las Vegas in 2007 Mark has played with Las Vegas blues and classic rock bands Powerhouse and Blue Rain.
Coren Zai * Vocals/Percussion
Coren has played many different venues across the world from the Las Vegas Casinos, Rivera and MGM to European television “Bueno Dominica” Milan Italy, Circus World, Florida, and the Philadelphia Civic Center. Coren has opened for such entertainment greats such as The Temptations, 3 Dog Night, Holly Dunn & George Carlin.
