Power of County

BandCountryBluegrass

Power of County is Portland's best classic country band. The spirit coursing through their hard blend of country, rock and bluegrass is classic. Outlaw classic.

Biography

We consider ourselves Outlaw Country.
Influences include Townes Van Zandt, Blaze Foley, Waylon & Willie, Merle Haggard and John Prine.
Matt and D. Rives met in 2002, got together and instantly learned 25 songs in one day. From that day on they started playing together at parties, and practicing regularly. Soon after, they were a regular weekly house band at a couple of local Portland bars. They eventually got a few more band members and a huge following of fans, and have now become Portland's favorite Outlaw country band.
