Biography

Ray Anthony & PowerSlyde is a New Mexico band moving ya and grooving ya with music having an edgy rawk solid funk, a hint of Latin and a heavy contemporary jazz sound.The bands strength is originality as members contribute their own musical ambitions as champions for the bands expressions of original sound at its peak inspired by all progressive musical styles and genres. This mindset is what drives this band as champions for this music because the best is yet to come. An enthusiast of American born jazz and funk music being a self taught trombone player having an opportunity to go on the road back in the day with a funk band based out of Chicago. Learning basic musicianship from some great musicians was priceless.These days finding myself having fun rawking & funking it up with my new band PowerSlyde always looking forward in performing for new fans. This project continues recruiting musicians who share the same mindset of writting and performing original material. Powerslyde's music flows with the influences from musicians past and present. Innovation and technology fueled with originality is the strength. As a huge fan of open wheel motor sports the band takes the name powerSlyde from the admiration of the hard work and passion exhibited in professional motor sports. The bands interests are in performing for your venue, performing as a openning act for top touring artists live concerts, corporate parties & events, private parties, and charitable community events.

Our sets contain 10-12 songs with each set typicaly 60 minutes + - Our repertoire consists of all original music With titles such as Got da mo, Hardways, Nights away, slideways, Gasoline Alley Funk, Grayghost rd, De adentro, Mama's faith, Mr Sauce, and many more.
All our demo songs recorded on home studio gear, sounds best with a pair of head phones and the volume cranked up!
