Bio

Prairie Rose, mother of Slade, Cheyenne, and Cassidy Unterseher, sang with Dale Evans and Roy Rogers. She started writing her own material and was an active member of the Western Music Assoc. As the children entered her life, they joined her on stage. By 3 and 5, Slade and Cheyenne were adding to her show, and became known as her Sidekicks. It wasn't long and Cassidy was on stage as well.
At a very tender young age, the children were already displaying harmony with each new song. They entered a North Dakota Talent Contest in 1999 and took first place. Their title song at that time was a self penned song, by Cathy, alias, Prairie Rose, entitled "North Dakota, USA." Their popularity grew fast and before long they were traveling the Midwest and Southern States. They opened for Ian Tyson of Canada, Cody Stampede in Cody, Wy, numerous Cowboy Poetry Gatherings, Redhawks and UND Hockey games, as well as abundant conventions, churches, and community events.
The rich harmony is what truly sets this group apart from any other, and Slade's professional ability on the guitar. He plays guitar, banjo, drums, trumpet, mandolin, and violin; featuring his guitar and banjo on stage.
Prairie Rose and the Sidekicks have made an impact in the lives of others by the rendition of songs they've chosen to share with others. Their smooth voices and their sharing of their own personal lives, will one minutes make you laugh, and the next minute, wipe away tears. Their road manager, groupie, and number 1 fan, left to join Jesus, on Christmas Day 2007. He was the father/husband, to this family act.
Their lives will place an imprint on yours and you'll never forget them. "Prairie Rose and the Sidekicks"
