Four men, two women Contemporary Christian Avon Lake, OH-based a cappella group Praise-Apella presents 10 upbeat, vocal percussion-rich originals, two written by group members Brenda Johnstone ("Finding Strength") and Amy Scott ("I Am Here, I Am God"), the rhythmic gem "Knockin' On Heaven's Door," a pair written by Beth & Matt Redman, "Blessed Be Your Name" and "Let My Words Be Few," Bart Millard's "I Can Only Imagine" and "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever" are favorites. Based out of Cleveland, OH, Praise-Apella is a 4 person contemporary Christian vocal band that has spent the last 6 years touring the U.S. and abroad with their unique style of vocal harmony based music and percussion.
They have performed with many national Christian artists such as Michael W. Smith, MercyMe, Brandon Heath, David Crowder Band, Nicole C. Mullen, AVALON, Jamie Grace, Britt Nicole, Laura Story and many others. They have appeared on a variety of national and regional television shows including JCTV (TBN) and The Jim Bakker Show (CTN), to name a few.
Radio play and interviews have included Salem Communications affiliates in Atlanta, Nashville, Dallas and Cleveland where they are frequently heard on 95.5 the Fish WFHM-FM. In 2010, Praise-Apella won the prestigious CARA award for “Best Religious Album” of the year and were runners-up for “Best Religious Song” with their version of “I’m Letting Go.” They have also won a regional “Battle of the Bands” contest when the group had no instruments.
Our mission is that we are called to praise the one true God and to glorify His only Son, Christ Jesus. To lead others to our Lord and Savior who are seeking truth through our ministry of vocal music.
