Choro, samba, frevo, baiao Songs and rhythms from the heart of Brazil, dança dos escravos (dance of the slaves), the pulse of Baia with African roots.
Praça Onze performs contemporary Brazilian creations by composers such as Marco Pereira, Paulo Bellinati, Roland Dyens and Radames Gnatalli, among others, who represent the condition of a migratory art, music that on its homeward path houses the synthesis of the popular and the erudite.
The dawn of Brazil came from the streets and neighbourhoods in which the samba was born, rooms that witnessed the births of Pixinginha, Anacleto de Medeiros, Chiquinha Gonzaga and Canhoto. An abyss of roses in the Praça Onze of Rio.
