We thank God for the opportunity that He has given Pastor Powell in producing his first CD. It's awesome to be able to hear The Gospel of Jesus Christ expressed outside of traditional "gospel" music. This CD proclaims, in terms relative to a younger generation, who Jesus Christ is and the provisions that are made to us through his Life, Death and Resurrection. Versatile:
In 1986 recording artist Versatile was born in New York to his mother Michelle Sanders. Shortly after, he moved to New Jersey where he lived until the age of 11. He has lived in Italy, Germany and various locations throughout the United States and Europe. At age 11 he started smoking, drinking followed at age 14 and promiscuous activity at 15. Falling to a life of sin, Versatile says, by the time I reached age 18 I was a drug dealing, chain smoking, gun toting, promiscuous juvenile Although a son to a beautiful single mother, a brother to a precious little sister, and grandson to a loving grandmother, I didnt care about anyone but myself. His entire life was changed forever at age 19 when he relocated to Missouri. It was here where he found God and his purpose for living. At age 21 Versatile accepted Jesus Christ into his life. Just one year later, Versatile is a youth Co-Pastor, Christian recording artist, and full time Minister preaching Gods word all over the world. He has devoted his life to breeding Life in to all people of all nations in all of the world. He says, Falling in love with Jesus is the best thing Ive ever done.
Prentice:
Born in Peoria, Illinois, the youngest of 3 brothers, recording artist Prentice Funches although raised in the church, always kept quiet and felt alone and isolated as though he were different from those he grew up with. Exposed to the streets he began to sell drugs at the early age of 15. In 1993 being influenced by older individuals around him, he was introduced to the rap game where he soon proved to be a remarkable young artist who had finally come out of his shell. Getting caught up in the temptations of the world, Prentice fell to a life of fornication and sin with whom is now the mother of his daughter. As soon as he opened his mouth confessing to the Lord and asking God to save him he was delivered and set free from the bondage and escaped from the trap the devil had set for him. He soon learned that his ability to rap was more than just a talent; it was a gift from God. The anointing took his rap to another level and now his lyrics speak another message; the true message of Jesus Christ and His teachings. My aim is to reach many by allowing God to give me the words to put in to my music that many may be drawn by His Spirit says Prentice.
