Growing plants is a good hobby. We don’t grow Plants. What we do well isn’t remotely connected with little old ladies with bright green thumbs. Like the plants themselves we do, however, seed, water and feed. And what we do does grow. It grows like kudzu in Mississippi at times engulfing every nook and cranny of our mind. This is when it’s hard to go to work or pay attention to your significant other or take a shower. All you can think about is creating, building, and nurturing your obsession. Other times it grows like fescue grass in a hot climate. You seed it, it doesn’t take...you get frustrated, seed again, a bit of it grows in a week or two, put lime down, and break the ground, seed again....You take what you get, and you lay down layers over time to make it right. Eventually, you get a full lawn of grass. Ours is a quest of this nature. Volatile at times subdued at others times.

Press Two for Panic’s philosophical approach to music is if we weren’t playing our music on stage, we’d be playing it in our heads. The reason we write music in the way that we do is akin to the reason people climb Mt Everest, because it’s there. In Press Two’s case, we put it out there because it should exist. No other reason, and if a few folks dig it, well hell yeah! We will write, record, and perform with the knowlage of a vast landscape of other bands trying to “make it”. We’ve already made it.

The simple fact is that it is really rare that four people agree on anything. Much less an art form. We all have the different visions that work in the same direction, and that’s about the most one could ask for. I wouldn’t want three other people to think like me, the music would be stagnant and boring. I want Barry, Jeff or Ed to tell me...”Hey, that sounds stupid, do something else”, or “Man, go back to what you were just doing ...that’s just what this song needs.” We work together the way we need to in order to get the music to where it needs to be. The song always wins. (A very wise statement told to me by a complete lunatic.)

Our mission statement is this. We will do the best we can with the talent we have and present it to you with the vigor and excitement of when it was first composed. We would like to bring each and every fan closer to our music via the internet and live performances. We will encourage people to be inspired to do what they think must exist. Whether that be a tool shed, a painting, a race car, a song, a more positive way of living, or anything you don’t see in life or art MAKE IT EXIST! We will all be better for it.
